Welcome back
Oct 23rd, 2009 by The Head Honcho

Well I experimented with the idea of a forum and it worked brilliantly until someone posted a ton of Viagra ads on it. So I’ve put the blog back up with a new retro look! Due to a MySQL dump, you’ll need to re-register yourself

Long Live The Pirate Bay
Aug 27th, 2009 by The Head Honcho

We have, ourselves, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once more able to defend our Internets, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone.

Even though large parts of Internets and many old and famous trackers have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Ifpi and all the odious apparatus of MPAA rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the ef-nets and darknets, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Internets, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the baywords.org, we shall fight on the /. and on the digg, we shall fight in the courts; we shall never surrender, and if, which I do not for a moment believe, the Internets or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the Anon Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in Cerf’s good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

Yay my new 2degrees SIM card arrived today! I might actually switch to them because for my needs the texting is 9¢ which is cheap! But now I have to wait for my second hand phone to arrive that cost $30….

Gmail finally out of beta!
Jul 8th, 2009 by The Head Honcho

Five years after its launch Gmail has finally moved out of the beta stage and into the proper world. But for those who are scared and afraid of the absense of the ‘beta’ text in the Gmail logo, there is now a Labs feature to put it back on.

USB Humping Dogs

Okay, I know what your thinking.  Who in their right mind who want to buy a bit of plastic that humps your computer? But still, if you have a spare $10 lying around this might be a perfect gift for that special, quirky someone. Check it out at http://www.thinkgeek.com/interests/giftsunder10/9c89/

Indy's Top 3 iPod Touch Apps
Jul 5th, 2009 by The Head Honcho

As you might not have known, I have an iPod Touch. It is my pride and joy, along with my Toshiba laptop. I mainly use it for the Internet or ‘Apps’ ( Apples name for applications). Most people think I’m crazy that I don’t use my iPod for music ;-) . I have a lot of games on it and most of them I don’t even use that often! But I have compiled a list of my top 3 apps.

Wikipanion

Sure, Wikipedia has a mobile version of the site but it dosen’t work when in landscape mode. Wikipanion has a nice, clean interface which is simple, straight-to-the-point navigation. I can easily jump to another section or bookmark the page. I can even save the pictures off the articles with ease.

Google Talk

Now, I don’t know if this counts as an app because it is not in the App Store but just a cleverly designed bit of JavaScript that makes it look like an app when all it is is  a web clip. I often talk to my firends on Google Talk because they all have Gmail accounts but personally I think it looks a lot better than MSN or Windows Live or whatever you want to call it. I use it on my laptop all the time but now I can be on-the-go and still find out what my friends are doing.

myHomework

This brilliant app records all your homework and has reminders of when they are due. You program all your classes into it and then you can add homework and when it is late or due it will show a little reminder of what needs to be done.

P.S I am not getting payed to say good things about these apps. If I were I’d be stinking rich!

Hello World! Eat my shorts!
Jun 27th, 2009 by The Head Honcho

Hello and welcome to my new website / blog  GEEKiFY where everything is to do with electronics or whatever. Read all about how I am trying to bring more geek into my life. Scream in horror when I ‘accidentally’ blow something up. And regurgitate your last meal in horror when I run Mac OS X on my Toshiba laptop. Cheerio!
